I woke up this morning...still feeling kinda tired... hmnn... damn had to go to work... really hate it sometimes... makes me wonder if a 9 to 5 job is more desirable at times... oh well... so I struggled out of bed...washed my face and tried to put on my make-up... damn... recent stress is making my skin crappy...tiny little pimples abuzz... geez...still, I was eager to try out my new Shu'mera 2-way foundation compact... but too lazy to wet the sponge... #$%%$##
Make-up didn't seem to help much today so I left the house feeling crappy and ugly... ate lunch and then made my way relunctantly to the office...
My mood seem to lift a little after I settled into my office... and I seem to manage to get a few tasks done today... started and completed an article feature on RTC's banquet operations manager...think it was not too bad...
did some other miscellaneous stuff like update new reciprocal clubs onto our website and then the GM called me to do a club tour for some of his overseas guests from Philippines... sign...shoots... and I was in jeans today... how presentable for overseas visitors rite..
And oh ya...before I knocked off at 5.30pm... I submitted my proposal for the last issue of club life for ECCR yippee... hope the GM approves...
BB came to pick me outside the club...and ya in case I haven't mentioned... staff of RTC are officially announced to be 2nd or 3rd class citizens of the club... even if it is raining and we are taking a cab... we can't even get the cab to drop us off at the club's lobby...no...we have to drop ourselves outside the club where they is no shelter and walk to the service entrance which is technically located where the rubbish collection point of the club is... the club is definitely worried that we've got no money to buy perfume so have to make us walk past the rubbish dump daily to get 'free perfume' very thoughtful and economical right?
And ya... since we are on this subject... let me wash another piece of dirty linen... the HR manager pulled me to one side after Friday morning's meeting to tell me that they prefer female staff to dress more conservatively... no low cuts... god...are we in the 15th century or wat? need to wear a god-damn corset anot...siao... no spaggetti straps and no V-necks... tell me what the heck can we wear? Sweaters or pull-overs? Goodness... and in Singapore's lovely warm weather... there's no reason why I should enjoy shirts should I...
Might as well just wear a sack and cover up like in the middle east...fucking hell... hate pple telling me what I shud do with my hair and what I should wear... damn it... the company is hiring me for what is in my head rite... and I'm not like indecently exposing myself...Jesus!
why dun we all just be nuns and wear habits instead... and ya white socks over shoes so that our legs dun show... stoopid autocracy... I shall wear whatever I like and I dun fucking care... who the hell is anyone to tell me how I should dress... I shall wear feathers if I like...so be it...
Haiz... I trailed so far off... my original intention was to blog about watch 'Memoirs of the Geisha' but look wat happened... anyway... I might have a second entry abt the Geisha later...all I can say is that the book is definitely a richer experience... whether in imagery...or emotions expression... wonderful wonderful... Still the movie casting director did a great job... all three actresses suited their roles to a 'T' like they were made for it...
Kudos to Authur Golden! Brilliance in itself!
