Hmnn...hallucination donk (",) That was last week! We were in Shanghai 12 - 15 May and yesterday was clearly 19 May leh... Haiz oh well... to fulfil donkey's fixation on revisiting the past...nah you can re-read this blog entry as many times as you like...

Finally, after almost 1 year of slogging like slaves at the Club, donkey and I decided to pack our bags for a 'weekend getaway' in Shanghai.We'd been planning this trip almost a month or a month and a half in advance and boy were we looking forward to the trip!
We took the opportunity of the VesakDay holiday on 12 May to do this trip... and took an additional 1 day leave the following Monday to make up a humble 4 days for our holiday...
Damm! On hindsight, it was really too short a trip...oh well Thierry had warned us against that but then as it was hard for us to get any extra days of leave...what could we do right?
Okie okie...so we met at about 6pm at Changi Airport Terminal 2 where we check-in at the counter and then proceeded to Mac Donald's for a lovely warm breakfast of fluffy pancakes with plenty of butter (for donkey) and plenty of maple syrup (for me)! Yayyyy and yummy yummy.... Absolutely delicious (Btw, when I was a kid...MD's hotcakes were the only things I craved for during BF... Hotcakes = Great Breakfast!)
By about 0715, we made our way to 'Inside the Gates' urmmm I kinda forgot what it's really called...but oh well the place where you find all the DFShops after they've checked your passport 'seriously' at the counter hahaha.
We caught Thierry (T) standing around the display case of Omega watches... by the time we had finished our Hi's and all...dilly-dallying around a fair bit...T caught a glimpse of the electronic information board saying that our flight was ready to close its gates! OMG it was a mad rush especially with T telling us that he had once missed his flight this way after seeing the similar 'gate closing' message....
Arghhh it was then that we realized that our boarding gates were quite far down... and damn this stupid pig here (yes myself) was wearing heels and ya...walking with as big steps as my short legs could muster to keep up with Donkey (D) and T!
The Saga of the Kidnapped Scissors
At the security checkpoint... D got 'caught'....geez D must be a terrorist! She tried to smuggle a pair of scissors on board! But Singapore's security was too good for that... they found the scissors in her shoes! (haha actually in her bag lah). They told her to pass a message to her leader Al Dunnowho that terrorism cannot be effectively carried out with a pair of scissors and they simply had to invest in more decent and sophisticated weaponry...seeing how it was such a lame attempt at terrorism...they simply 'kidnapped' her scissors and sent D on her way (seeing that D was not a big-time terrorist at all... :P)
Next... what else do you expect? The plane took off and landed as scheduled in Pudong International Airport lah... haiz... D without her scissors couldn't capture the plane at all... otherwise we might have landed at some exotic locations in the Maldives ermm...or maybe in the Indian Ocean... Anyway No Scissors = No Hijack so 4D 2N in Shanghai will start properly in the next entry...This is a prelude only

Keke... I know this entry is pretty dry... but hey, it's Saturday morning at 0800 so need something to start revving up my engine...so please bear with this dry stuff first...we're getting there... In the next entry...we'll be checking out juicy joints like stripbars in Patpong and .... (opps again wrong channel...not Bangkok...) I shall go back to sleep again and carry on when I wake up hahaCheck out D&P new cool emoticons at:
