I am Beowulf...
Nah, she is obviously Angelina Jolie who stars as the Mother of the monstrous Grendel.
In fact in the movie, she is not just the Mother of Grendel the Monstor, but the Mother of loads of monstors before Grendel and Mother of loads of other more horrific monstors to come.
Her weapon is 'Seduction' and her language of love is 'Temptation'.
Through the ages, she has tempted kings and heros alike, bringing to life the greatest enemy that they must face through their own chosen actions: the action of union with her.
Unable to resist her surreal beauty and the honeyed words of prophesy of greatness to come thru' the promise union of flesh with her; the union leads to the sowing of a single seed within her womb from which the most fearsome demon would be birthed. The father would forever be cursed by the devilish child fathered illegitimately by his own choice, by his own weakness.
The legendary hero Beowulf, successfully battles the monstor offspring of the cursed king before him, yet falls prey himself by laying with the Mother (Jolie) - the monstor he fathers is strong like him and sadly more fearsome and powerful that the Grandel that he has slained.
At the very end, he destroys his own evil child, paying the price with his own life. Heroic till his last breathe, he is determined to rid his kingdom of the evil that he has brought upon it thru his own lust and weakness.
Yet, his death and the death of his dragon-son is no end to this legend that must carry on... for the Mother must mate, the dead son must be reincarnated... growing more and more powerful with each incarnation...

Beowulf's animation was all around impressive, though the characters' movement reminded me a lot of Shrek. I appreciate the fact that this movie gives a pseudo-education in ancient literature (never had to read the book as a child)
