Spent a lovely Saturday evening with Dr. M and my silly Bao Bei...I went to my cousin's baby girl's one month shower in the afternoon and then we swung by the new MDIS unicampus to get Dr. M after his Saturday afternoon class...
We decided to head down to Boat Quay for Black bean sauce beef hor fun... I love the dish... the beef slices are so nicely stir-fried...very tender and the sauce is yummy too... we order a seafood soup, garlic kai lan and 'ma po tou fu' too...
Dr. M wasn't quite familiar with tou fu so we thot it would be a great new experience... Dr. M said he enjoyed the beef hor fun too...great stuff...according to him :))
After dinner, the three of us strolled along the river...walking towards Fullerton Hotel and then taking the underpass to the Esplanade... there was a jazz performance by a local group at the outdoor performing theatre and we took some time to enjoy the music, all while snapping some shots and enjoying the cool air of the night...
It was great that it wasn't too humid an evening...the weather was nice enough for us to just stroll along without aggravating the sweat pores... after the performance ended...we strolled back to Boat Quay and landed ourselves at the TCC there... we ordered hot chocolate and iced coffee-tea (yuan-yang) tea and spent the rest of the evening making happy conversations and cheerful jibes at each other...
Hanging out is really great...and good friends who we can really connect with, makes all the difference in the world too... how else could we keep our sanity in such a pressure cooker society? If only there were more weekends...
